This week is National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week, a reminder to slow down and stay alert when driving through road construction areas. With road work underway across Maine, this message is especially important for keeping workers and drivers safe.
See cones, think people. There are real people working just feet from traffic every day.
We encourage all drivers to take a moment to commit to safer driving in work zones by taking the Work Zone Safety Pledge:
