Message Regarding Road Work
On behalf of the Atlantic Salmon Federation and the Maine Department of Marine Resources, I wanted to make you all aware of the upcoming work near the intersection of Greene and High Streets at the Sabattus River. We anticipate the following general schedule.
July 10th :: Linkel Construction will be mobilizing to the site on Wednesday, July 10th to begin preparations for the work.
July 15th :: Linkel Construction (along with their subcontractor, Wyman and Simpson) will be installing traffic controls. This will maintain two lanes of traffic, but it will shift the travel lanes and impact on street parking availability.
Mid-August :: The temporary traffic controls will be removed and traffic will be restored to its current conditions. However, ongoing drainage work in the street will result in additional traffic impacts. This may include the use of flaggers and or temporary traffic signals that reduce traffic to a single lane while crews are working on the drainage infrastructure in the street.
End of August :: Drainage work in the street is anticipated to be complete and associated traffic controls will be removed. Drainage work will receive trench paving. It is anticipated that MaineDOT will be performing final surface paving of the entire street at a later date, in connection to another drainage project.
October :: All work at the project location is anticipated to be substantially complete by the end of October.
