Transfer Station Attendant

Nature of Work:

Work is performed under the general supervision of the Transfer Station Manager in accordance with

established procedures and routines in regard to the recycling facility

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains recycling area by sweeping and cleaning area at end of the day.

Responsible for collection of fees for established items in solid waste & recycling flyer.

Directs citizens in the correct disposal of refuse materials.

Ensures operational policy is adhered with all residents.

Assist with household waste building as needed.

Performs other related work as required.

Requirements of Work:

Ability to understand and carry out oral instructions and to work independently in the performance of routine duties.

To treat the public and other town employees with respect and cheerful demeanor.

Training and Experience Required:

Must be 18 years of age.

Hiring in accordance with Sabattus Town Charter and approved by Town Manager.

Hours will vary up to 24 hours as set by the Transfer Station Manager.
